I really don’t like parties very much
They are really lonely
Everyone seems either very self-conscious or completely oblivious to people they don’t know
Parties are not conducive to forming meaningful relationships
Especially when people are drunk

my arabic teacher gave us all arabic names today and it was really cute/funny. the name he gave me was كوكب (kahw-kab) which means “planet.” what a fucking awesome meaning for a name, i wish english names meant cool stuff like that.
