arabic homework: hour six

first weekend back in bloomington has been wonderful

After spending several hours writing a 250-word essay in Arabic and getting a professor to edit it for me, I found out that I misread one of the words in the prompt. NOTE TO SELF: العالم ≠ الاعلام
just one exciting glimpse into what my summer taking an intensive Arabic course will probably be like

As you may or may not have known (Pitchfork claims you must live in a different universe to have not known about this), Daft Punk is releasing a new album next week. It was played today on iTunes. Here are some of the impressions I have of certain tracks.

This song. Good lord this song is giving me chills. The guitar riff is so shimmery, dancey, electro and just joyous.The Game of Love
It’s almost like this tragic love song that could be played when a planet blows up in the year 2120. It’s sinister but also so damn sexy. HOW.Doin’ It Right
A panda bear cuddles up to you then asks you to dance then all of a sudden the panda bear turns into Noah Lennox and you’re weirded out but also impressed by his super sexy dance moves. He slowly whispers into your ear the entire time.Contact
This track sounds like if your car all of a sudden got hyperspace capabilities and you have the chance to go to the future but at the last moment the hyperspace motherboard starts malfunctioning—but it was totally cool though because even though you had to stay in the present, you still had this album by Daft Punk.Further track reviews to follow.
